The short version: FateFlap is a fairness and party tool for making random picks — it is not a gambling product, and it isn't affiliated with any other similarly-named game or franchise. Read on for what that means.
1. FateFlap is not gambling
FateFlap does not accept wagers or stakes of any kind, does not process payments, and never pays out money or anything of monetary value based on a spin result. Any dollar-sign or "prize" labels you see in a preset (for example the "Prize drop" preset, or an entry you type yourself like "$50" or "JACKPOT") are illustrative text only — a fun way to add variety to a wheel — and carry no monetary value and no right to any payout, refund, or exchange. Nothing in FateFlap constitutes a lottery, raffle, sweepstakes, or bet under any law, and it should never be used as a substitute for one.
If you are looking for a real-money gaming or gambling product, FateFlap is not that product, and you should not treat any result it produces as having financial value or legal effect.
2. What FateFlap's results are
A FateFlap spin is a random selection among the entries you typed, weighted by whatever settings you chose (equal chances by default, or your own custom weights). It's intended for everyday, low-stakes decisions — picking a name, a team, a turn order, a party game twist — decided fairly and transparently, with the underlying selection mechanism open to inspection (our source is built from typed, unit-tested selection logic; see our engineering documentation for detail).
3. Non-affiliation
FateFlap is an independent product, built and operated by ZIX DEV Inc. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or connected to any other wheel-spinning game, game show, casino game, raffle service, or similarly-named product or franchise, whether or not it shares a similar name, color scheme, or "spin the wheel" concept. Any resemblance to another product's name or format is coincidental to the shared, generic "spinning wheel" concept, which is not owned by any single company.
4. Your entries are your responsibility
You are solely responsible for the text you type into FateFlap's entries — including making sure it doesn't harass, defame, or target a real person in a harmful way, and that any use of a "prize drop" or similar preset doesn't imply a real payout to anyone who didn't agree to that in advance, outside of FateFlap entirely. FateFlap itself has no way to see, moderate, or store what you type (see our ) — the responsibility for what you do with it sits with you.
5. How this relates to our Terms of Service
This disclaimer is incorporated into, and should be read together with, our — particularly the sections on gambling non-affiliation, warranty disclaimer, and limitation of liability. If anything here and the Terms of Service conflict, the Terms of Service governs; this page exists to explain, in plain language, what FateFlap is and isn't.
